| How To Give Your Kitchen A Spring Clean Up |
| Cluttered cabinets, a dusty refrigerator top, and an oven that smokes every time you bake are not the components of an ideal kitchen. Revive this important room in your home with a few simple tips |
- Dust down the ceiling and corners of walls. Determine if the walls need washed in dirty spots
- Dust and clean all art and photographs along the wall
- Dust and clean the ceiling fans
- Take down draperies, curtains, and blinds to wash or have cleaned according to the manufacturer's directions
- Reward yourself by ordering in for dinner tonight. Forbid anyone to touch your spotless kitchen at least until breakfast the next morning. Any longer is probably cruel, but they can handle it overnight
|
| Vintage Springtime Ideas |
- A garden trellis is hung over the couch to add architectural interest. Vintage food labels are adhered to coffee cans and then hung from the trellis. Bright sunflowers complete the sunny look
- The wintry couch is lightened up with a ribbon-tie slipcover made from a couple of tablecloths and shower curtain. The pillows get a touch of spring with animal-shaped silhouettes. The silhouettes are created by using a cutting from Ultrasuede fabric and then iron-on adhesive to attach the shapes to the pillow fabric
- Multicolored sand is layered into an old glass jar, a lamp kit is added and then a shade to top off the project
